58th Annual Grammy Awards: African Nominees

Unlike other award shows such as the BET Award the Grammys do not offer categories to honor any African musicians specifically. But the past has shown already that artists from all over the continent are in the position to grab an award and take it back home. Artists such as Angélique Kidjo or Ali Farka Touré did it even more than just once. The chances are good that this circle of winners will grow again this year since the nomination list shows seven nominations in five different categories. Check the complete list of nominees below and let's hope for one or another markup.
